CANTON, MA (April 16, 2014) – Dunkin’ Donuts, one of the world’s leading baked goods and coffee chains, today announced plans to develop restaurants in major metropolitan areas across Holland. This effort is part of Dunkin’ Donuts’ strategy to increase its presence across Europe, a key region for the brand, as it continues to grow globally.

Dunkin’ Donuts is looking to recruit qualified, well-capitalized multi-unit franchisee groups with deep foodservice operating experience to develop the brand across Holland, with an initial focus in Amsterdam. Ideal franchisee candidates will have strong financial backgrounds, a knowledge of their local consumers, a proven track record of success in the restaurant industry, and a desire to develop a minimum of 20-25 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in their market in the coming years.

“Holland represents a tremendous opportunity for the Dunkin’ Donuts brand,” said Jeremy Vitaro, vice president of international development for Dunkin’ Brands. “We feel our value proposition – high-quality food and beverages, served fast in a friendly environment and at a great value – will resonate well with consumers throughout the country.”

Dunkin’ Donuts has a growing presence across Europe, where the brand currently has more than 120 restaurants in countries including Bulgaria, Germany, Russia, Spain and the United Kingdom.

To further fuel its European expansion, the company is actively seeking qualified franchisees and will host a live online webinar on May 7 at 5 p.m. local time.
